He trained at Freshfields, then spent years at a boutique law firm advising start-ups and scale-ups on a range of corporate, commercial and employment matters. James Richardson

Co-founder & Lawyer

James is a highly experienced solicitor and author. He trained and qualified at major transatlantic firm Hogan Lovells. After a few years in their Commercial Litigation and Insurance team, James moved to the City to work as an underwriter on M&A deals. James also founded and ran Law Answered for a decade, where he wrote or co-wrote 42 different books for law students across the spectrum of graduate and postgraduate law courses. He now is Head of Legal, Risk and Compliance at a motor insurtech scaleup called Cuvva, which he joined as first in-house counsel shortly after their Series A fundraise.
